Frequently Asked Questions

Do you have Adalat, Afeditab, Nifediac, or Procardia?

Short Answer

Yes, look for Nifedipine (nye-FED-i-peen).

Long Answer

Nifedipine (Adalat, Afeditab, Nifediac, Procardia) is a calcium-channel blocker. It affects the amount of calcium found in your heart and muscle cells, which results in relaxation of blood vessels and can reduce the amount of work the heart has to do. Nifedipine reduces attacks of chest pain (angina), and may help reduce high blood pressure (hypertension).

Other Uses

Off-label uses of Nifedipine include treatment of Raynaud's phenomenon (reduced blood flow in the fingers and toes as a result of cold or stress), suppression of preterm labour, and for chronic anal fissures when used in a topical form.
