Frequently Asked Questions

What is an email whitelist?

Short Answer

It is a list of contacts that the user deems are acceptable to receive email from and should not be marked as trash or spam. It is the opposite of a blacklist.

Long Answer

Due to the heavy amount of spam in the pharmacy industry, ISPs, email programs, and anti-virus systems aggressively filter any email that contains references to medications and pharmacies. Unfortunately, there are times when legitimate email gets marked as spam (false positives). To help prevent that, you can put certain email and web site addresses in a whitelist to ensure you get the email you want to see, while allowing others to be blocked.

Some Internet Service Providers (ISPs) and spam filters that come with email clients have both white and black lists of senders and keywords to look for in emails. If a spam filter keeps a whitelist, mail from the listed email addresses, domains, and/or IP addresses will always be allowed.

To make sure you can get our emails (for example, with your account information and password), add our email address and web site to your address book and safe sender whitelist.

To help you configure your whitelist, please use this information (see links below for more help):

  • Domain: RiverPharmacy.com
  • IP Address:

If you do not get a confirmation email from RiverPharmacy.com when you place your order, check any spam filters you have that may have blocked us from contacting you. Make sure you contact us so we can confirm that your order has been processed properly and to help you log into our system.
